Classic comfort food with farm fresh ingredients makes Erwin an absolute MUST for autumn. Try a crabcake surrounded by daikon and fresh shaved carrots with sesame Ginger vinaigrette or carmelized onion tart with a whole wheat crust and local farmed blue cheese. Entrees like Pork chops with Yukon gold gratin and mustard apple sauce are ample and filling. Classic angus burgers with applewood smoked bacon are a specialty here. In a nutshell simple classics done right. Never had a bad meal here after more than a decade. Others must share my sentiment since Erwin Dreschler proprietor and chef recently earned the Lifetime achievement award from the Dining Out establishment. Nice wine and beer selections and quaint ambiance make it an easy choice for either a dinner date or fun group. With the abundant number of new restaurant openings and closings, Erwin is an easy choice with proven stay power. Give it a try!

If going with friends, I would definitely sit in the front bar section. It is more lively than the back section which is great for a quiet dinner. Erwin's food is fantastic and different from basic fish and steak menus. The prices are great as well.
