Best Fried Chicken
We happened upon the place while on the way to the movies and saw the Beer signs in the windows. Ellen greated us, we had a few beers and promised to return after the show. During that same day visit, I experienced the best fried chicken I have had since my TN grandmother died 20 years ago. The cole slaw was also fabulous, as well as the mashed potatoes. We are going back tonight. It will be a regular stop, movie night or not.

Stumbled upon!
Excellent new place. We were looking to get a quick bite before the show and came on El's. excellent service. Waitor gave great recomendations. Back to basics comfort food. It is hard to find good fried chicken and El does not disappoint. Will be back!

new find!!
Brisket sandwich excellent, good slaw and the chips were outstanding. More items will be added to the menu soon (Fried chicken) but this place is well worth a visit. Our waiter Steve was very helpful and Ellen had us try the ribs which are also great!! A keeper!

Good times!
El's Kitchen was a stumble upon. We were coming out of the theater, looking for a bite, and did not want a sandwich from the usual joints. A young, red-head was passing out a coupon right across from the theater parking lot for a restaurant that we would not have noticed had it not been for her. As it turned out, she waited on our table (excellent service). Man, I'll take a brisket sandwich over a turkey and cheese anyday! Even had the real smoke flavor I rememeber getting on visits down south. The sweet potato chips were to die for! All around, we loved it! Next movie night out, we'll head back to El's Kitchen (if it's without kids, we may even have a night cap!)
