Gone downhill
Once this diner was a fav. Not anymore. The food and service was very disappointing.

Very Good Restaurant
Can't say enough about Eleven City. Good food for the money, great service. Don't walk there, run there! Hot Soup :-)

love the rubins and the rubin family!
Do yourself a favor and check out chicago's best jewish deli. Great food, friendly service and a fun atmosphere.

Brisket is awesome
Looking for a homestyle meat and potatoes fix? Get the brisket...it's slow roasted, juicy, packed with flavor and the accompanying potatoes and carrots done just right. Not a spec of food left on my two buddies' plates who ordered the same entree. Topped off by a chocolate malt...brought back memories as a kid. Great service to boot.

Best Rubin in Chicago
Food is outstanding! When I eat at other restaurants/pubs and have bad food, I always redeem myself at 11 city. The service is hit and miss. Sometime you get an awesome waitress or soda jerk. But, sometimes you really get a horrible server. Which does make for a bad experience. Over all a nice place to eat.

Poor service from a waitress : (
April 27th, 2011 11 am----While enjoying a 2 night stay at the Hilton 2 weeks ago we had lunch at this restaurant. The hostess was nice until he sat myself & my 7 year old daughter in the corner at a small 2 seater table near the dish pan & hot kitchen window. Immediately the nice waitress came over and asked us would we like to sit in the front. The hostess really failed here obviously. Then after that I really thought maybe he was oblivious to good customer service until the other waitress came. I began to ask her what she recommended as for the Bloody Marys (advertised at the hotel as a must have) her response, coldly was," we only have 2 which one do you want?" I could go into detail about the unpersonable and unkind way we were treated by the waitress, because there are many, but the $ breaker for me was she never once asked us how our food was....I had to ask the " good waitress" for a few things throughout our visit and every time our waitress came, slid it across the table and kept walking!.....Poor service which in turn really made the food taste bad as well. I will never return and have told everyone when speaking about our mother-daughter get-a-way in Chicago---to never go there!!!! I didn't even want to tip her, but my daughter said to give her $2.00, maybe she can buy a couple smiles from the $ store...

Rude service
The absolute rudest service I have ever encountered in Chicago. The food was mediocre.
