Que viva el Mariachi!
I have had Mexican food in several places throughout Chicago, from Pilsen to Logan Square to downtown; from the hole-in-the-wall taqueria to Mexican fusion. This is one of the best places. Their chips are the best anywhere and their roasted chiles salsa is wonderful. It maintains some authenticity despite obviously attempting to appeal to the gringo neighborhood in which it is located. It is very romantic too, which is a bonus! Pa'lante!

Mariachi
Tight dinning quarters but great food and good service makes that a minor unimportant detail. Great portions not too oversized but overwhelming taste is too be expected. Try the guacamole, one of the best in the city.
