    Edwardo's Cold Pizza

Arrived @ 9:30pm didn't know they were about to close. Server should have said we are closing in 30 mins .. We ordered a Pizza... Pizza served cold pizza after we waited longer than 45 mins. Advised the server the pizza is cold ..Was told my mgr said we can put the pizza back in the oven if you want ... We said no just wanted you to know u served a cold pizza. Would have been nice if we were told we are sorry. Then they began cleaning the restaurant while we were eating the cold pizza... I mentioned to the person I know you are not sweeping the floor while we are eating so she just moved away from us with out an apology. I will not return as a Eat-In Customer. The pizza was not that good for me to experience another Unhappy Evening.

great food. make some mitakes occasional

I order from Edwardo's a LOT. The food is really good. I like their pizza waaaaaay better than giordano's. Giordano's put too much cheese and you can barely taste any crust. Edwardo's does it perfectly. I also like that you can order wheat crust if you're feeling healthy. Their sauce is soooo good. The only thing is that they've made mistakes on my orders and few times. Then i have to wait for them to fix another pizza and re-deliver. However, when they realize their mistake, their very gracious, and they make up for it. Never had anyone with an attitude there. They family night special is an INSANE DEAL. x-large pizza plus drinks for $15 (or medium stuffed). Now they offer this almost daily!!!

    ain't that a ...

i just had to come back for this one. so i read the review below, and found it funny that the pizza wasnt cut... n then they suggested pizza capri. sounded like a good idea since i hadnt had pizza frm thr in some years. but now ive come to the conclusion that delivery in hyde park (MINUS WOK N ROLL) just isnt gonna work. as outlandish as the pizza not cut sounded, i took advice n chose pizza capri. and im eating a half pizza on my plate as we speak bcuz .. it was not cut.

    SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO Disappointing!!

I actually got up from my food to write this review. I don't ever remember Edwardo's being this bad. When I called to order, the person on the other line had to repeat my order at least 6 times (and my order wasn't that diffucult), I was put on hold for a very long time, placed on hold a second time - then disconnected. When I called back, the phone rang for a REALLY long time, then they repeated my order back to me a couple of times more. By this time I was nervously hoping they wouldn't forget anything when they sent my order out. All that said I just chalked that up to a very busy night and waited patiently. Although worth mentioning, this wasn't the bad part. Surprisingly, my food arrived in less than the time estimated - entire order in tact. But, I noticed that the pizza box was sunk in the middle. When I opened the box, there was a sloppy mess inside. It looked like it had been sliding all over the place. The cheese and toppings were gone from the center and had slid off the sides. Then the pizza wasn't even cut! I have never ordered a pizza and it arrived uncut - unbelievable! It's not even as good as I remember it. And the appetizer I ordered tasted rancid. The worst part of it all is that this is the most expensive pizza in Hyde Park. I have NEVER spent $45 for a pizza ,appetizer, and soda delivery in this neigborhood. I will NEVER order from this place again. I just hope I don't get sick from the bites I already ate. Do yourself a favor - stick to Giordano's for thin crust, and Pizza Capri for stuffed. Or better yet... take a trip downtown to Pizzaria Uno's it's worth $45!

    The Chicago Pizza I Crave

Ordering was smooth, delivery fast, food (deep dish cheese pizza) always delicious. I'm satisfied.

    Poor Service

Last night when I was there there was hardly anyone there eat, but it took them 10 minutes to seat us, nearly 20 minutes to come back and take our orders, and when the waitress did come back she was extremely rude, our food came in good time, but they never came back to offer drink refills or ask us if everything was ok. Then, we sat there for a good 30 minutes after we were all finished eating waiting for the check. We finally had to go and ask for the check. The waitstaff was in the back rolling silverwear into napkins. We will not go back there again. And, if you have a group of more than 4 people, you're more than likely to get stuck at that weird half circle-ish shaped table with a two person table awkwardly added on. It looks stupid and is very uncomfortable.

amazing pizza-- it just takes time...

Edwardo's Chicago-style pizza is pretty amazing-- it's better than a Giordano's pizza, and fans of Chicago-style pizza should already know that those manhole-size, manhole-heavy pizzas take a really long time to make. A New York-style pizza cooks in a few minutes-- obviously this phenomenon has spoiled the bitter reviewers on this page. If they want a ten-pound pizza to cook as fast as a half-pound pizza cooks, they ought to request that their Edwardo's pizza be cut into ten or twenty New York-pizza-size cross-sections.
