Top Beer

Seasonal, Rotating Tap u.s.a. it could be local, from the midwest, or even the coasts. one thing we know: it’ll be american, craft, and delicious! your server or bartender has the details.
Half Acre, Daisy Cutter Pale Ale chicago, illinois. a west coast pale ale in style, made just down the block-cock-full of dark aromatic hops. a screamer, if ya know what i mean.   6.00
Allagash, White Wheat Ale portland, maine. my personal cicerone calls allagash white the undisputed "best" wheat beer in the united states. we love it too! this lovely brew tickles our fancy. p.s. what he doesn’t know is that without him, this list wouldn’t be possible.   6.50
Lagunitas, IPA petaluma, california. the original west coast india pale ale. a hoppy ale celebrating the british trade routes to india. but who cares about history, sweetheart? just pour my beer and grab me a curry puff.   6.00
Two Brothers, Domaine Dupage French Country Ale warrenville, illinois. caramel malt, spice & toffee. this artisan beer makes me want to go to the french countryside and one day maybe to dupage county. just kidding!   6.00
North Coast, Scrimshaw Pilsener ft. bragg, california. never judge a beer by the size of its sail. north coast certainly caught this sailor’s attention with the girth of its mast. my favorite pilsner west of the rockies.   6.00

Bottle Beer

3 Floyds, Rotating munster, indiana. 3 floyds is one of the midwest’s top breweries. the only problem is we couldn’t decide on what delicious beer to offer, so we are going with whatever sounds great- you can’t go wrong.   7.50
Schlitz, Lager Can milwaukee, wisconsin. in the wake of the great chicago fire in 1871, schlitz brewery sent hundreds of barrels of beer to support chicago. that’s one heckuva neighbor. we’re in.   4.00
Vander Mill, Rotating Hard Cider spring lake, michigan. a newbie on the brew scene in 2006, we love the semi-sweet nature of this michigan cider. though the traditional is our favorite from this local cider mill, we couldn’t resist variety-it’s the spice of life!  (16oz can) 8.00
Crispin, Honeycrisp Cider minneapolis, minnesota. apples and honey, "this ain’t rosh hashana." go ahead, doll, sweeten your day. with any luck, you’ll catch a little buzz and ease through the holiday.  (22oz btl) 16.00
Lagunitas, Czech-Style Pilsner petaluma, california. this cold fermented czech style pilsner is top notch in my book. yes, i have a book. it’s called "facts on farts" by brenna lorenz, so there!   6.00
Two Brothers, Prairie Path Golden Ale warrenville, illinois. how can it be, its gluten free? who cares, come on this beer is simply delicious. the brothers have done it again! i hear they’re working on a beer to end the curse on the cubs.   6.00
Off Color, Apex Predator Farmhouse Ale chicago, illinois. you’re your own (wo)man. you make your own decisions. you’re the head of your pride. so why not reward yourself with a beer whose wild nature suits your own? natural sugars, grains, and yeasts are free to roam in this farmhouse ale, finished by a dry-hopped, fruity goodness. be the king of your concrete jungle, and let yourself go.   7.50
Boulevard, Tank 7 Farmhouse Ale kansas city, missouri. kc’s finest brewery knocks it out of the park with this stellar farmhouse ale. fruity, big & peppery.   8.00
Dogfish Head, Namaste Witbier rehoboth beach, delaware. crisp citrus hits the tongue gently with this refreshing witbier from the not-so-far east, leading one to remark with a subtle, "ommm." sit back, let your chakras realign and be at peace, friend.   6.50
Two Brothers, Sidekick Extra Pale Ale Can warrenville, illinois. our friends jim and jason have another great brew with its citrus and passion fruit-laced pale ale.   6.00
Ommegang, Witte Belgian Witbier cooperstown, new york. dried citrus rinds, fresh orange and coriander give life to this lively wheat brew. with summer upon us this fine beer may inspire a few session drinkers to invest in wheat futures.   7.00
Two Brother’s, Ebel’s Weiss Hefewiezen warrenville, illinois. clove, vanilla & banana scent this rich bavarian hefeweizen. i’m just happy i don’t have to wear lederhosen in lakeview.   6.00
North Coast, Pranqster Belgian Golden Ale ft. bragg, california. i’m a spell-check guy and this q was killing me until i put it in the "google," genius! this fine belgian ale comes up 1st and 4x before chico ca. 60’s & 70’s folk rock cover band of the same name. talk about web dominance.   7.50
Victory, Golden Monkey Belgian Strong Ale downington, pennsylvania. what’s up with the monkey reference? well, this belgian-style trippel comes in at 9.5% abv, and drinking two brings out the playful monkey in all of us.   9.50
Ale Asylum, Bedlam! Belgian IPA madison, wisconsin. ale asylum had a "one and done" rule with this belgian ipa, so if the first batch wasn’t amazing, the beer went down the drain. if you’re not a fan of this one, you may belong in an asylum. (see what we did there?)   7.00
Lagunitas, A Little Sumpin’ Sumpin’ Wheat Ale petaluma, california. a little poetic license from the brew master, "wheaty-esque-ish-ness" my sources confirm, 3 types of wheat & all the "c" hops. the result, a hazy slightly bitter ale and a very pretty girl.   7.00
Goose Island, Matilda Belgian Pale Ale chicago, illinois. my pal, founder greg hall, makes lots of beer but this one is my favorite. why? just because, because matilda makes me want to dance.   8.50
North Coast, Red Seal Amber Ale ft. bragg, california. oh, this is a generous ale, although available in 47 states, dmk is the only place you can enjoy it with truffle fries. according to ed (cincinnati inquirer), red seal is the finest american amber ale. we love it too.   6.00
Lakefront, Fixed Gear American Red Ale milwaukee, wisconsin. lakefront hasn’t run miller out of town yet, but no serious beer drinker in mill town can deny that lakefront it numero uno, period. this red ale has all the kids in the 3rd ward dancing.   6.00
Off Color, Scurry Dark Honey Ale chicago, illinois. in the words of peabo bryson, "the line between greatness and obscurity is very, very small." have you ever heard of a kottbusser-style beer? well, you have now. sweet honey and molasses with a dry finish. try this more obscure german style beer and taste how it feels to cross the line into greatness.   6.50
Green Flash, Hop Head Double Red IPA san diego, california. if this was fight club, i’d say, buckets of amarillo hops beating down caramel rich malts, everyone was happy, high fives all around, tell no-one!   8.00
Dark Horse, Crooked Tree IPA marshall, michigan. go to the dark horse website, read the boys’ bios, you’ll want what they’re on. you may not trip on crooked tree but you’ll taste the bitter pine and bright citrus of this neighborly ipa.   6.00
Anchor, IPA san francisco, california. america’s original craft brewery comes through with their first ipa and it’s a good one. malty, hoppy and delicious!   6.00
Tallgrass, Ethos IPA manhattan, kansas. legend says, tallgrass blends six types of hops to create a brew for the gods & worthy of sacrificing a goat! i’m scared to drive through kansas now, my dog looks a little like a goat.  (16oz can) 7.00
Great Divide, Hercules Double IPA denver, colorado. ancient mythology tells of the "twelve labours" of hercules to prove fit for the gods. at 10% abv, we believe finishing one of these beers would’ve been labour #13 and a pleasant reward for all his hard work.   10.00
Boulevard, The Sixth Glass Quadruple kansas city, missouri. ‘do you know what dwells in a glass?’ in this case, you’ve got yourself a delicious belgian quad from boulevard’s renowned smokestack series. sweet caramel malts, candi sugar, plums, raisins-but don’t drink it too fast! at 10.5%, you certainly won’t make it to your sixth.   8.50
Avery, Ellie’s Brown Ale Can boulder, colorado. an american brown bursting with brown sugar maltiness and hints of vanilla and nuts. the kind of beer perfect for morning, afternoon, night and any time in-between.   6.00
Dogfish Head, Indian Brown Ale rehoboth beach, delaware. 60 minute, 90 minute, who’s got the time? when i’m thirsty, my fishfinder leads me to indian brown ale, rich with molasses and coffee. dry-hopped like the minute brews, you won’t miss a hop.   6.50
Breckenridge, Vanilla Porter denver, colorado. no snow? no worries, let’s drink! vanilla, chocolate, toasted nuts. i get it. dessert all night long! hey where’s my condo? they all look the same   6.00
4 Hands, Cast Iron Oatmeal Brown Ale st. louis, missouri. if st. louis is the "gateway to the west" then this beer should be the welcoming gift once you arrive. a monster brown ale with chocolate malt & roasted barley makes us wish we had four hands to give it a proper ovation. bravo!   7.00
Allagash, Black Belgian Style Stout portland, maine. while you’ve been busy drinking allagash white, its darker side has been riding the pine, singing john fogerty’s ‘centerfield’ to itself all summer long. it’s time to step up to the plate, as allagash knocks this belgian-style stout out of the park with loads of dark chocolate and roasted coffee.   8.50
Greenbush, Anger Black IPA sawyer, michigan. an ipa that doesn’t live up to its namesake because it will only make your tastebuds delighted. belgian dark malts bring a little roastiness to an otherwise bitter world. smile and enjoy!   7.00
Revolution, Eugene Porter Can chicago, illinois. a workingman’s porter named after the union leader who led the pullman railroad strike in 1894, but you knew that. either way, this is my fave from our friends in logan square.   6.00
Breckenridge, 72 Imperial Chocolate Cream Stout denver, colorado. the name says it all! if you’re not sold by now, then maybe the fact that this beer is brewed with dark chocolate from colorado’s own rocky mountain chocolate factory will do the trick. or maybe the fact that it’s brewed in extremely small batches will win you over. no? well, how about the fact that it’s downright delicious? i thought so.   8.50
Left Hand, Milk Stout Nitro longmont, colorado. quite possibly america’s best milk stout! a double gold medal winner. robust malt & coffee flavors, a bit of milk, sugar, flaked oats and chocolate round out this dark brew and certainly satisfy all of your breakfast nutritional needs.   6.00
Tyranena, Chief Blackhawk Porter lake mills, wisconsin. if you’re in chicago, you’re already in blackhawks country, and tyranena gives another reason to be fans by paying homage to the sauk leader with this robust, bittersweet ale. makes me want to hum "chelsea dagger".   6.00
