Bar Food Done Like Tapas
Very loud, booming music echoing around a cavernous room. If you don't mind having to shout throughout your meal, it won't bother you. The food was just good not great. Burgers are OK, they don't ask you how you want it cooked. The wasabi cole slaw is very tasty and the sweet potato fries are good. They give you ketchup in those tiny little cups. Because everything is a la carte, you have a clutter of little plates all over the table. Its bar food done like tapas. There are so many places that give you a good burger and sides for a decent price so in my mind this place is not a good value. Servers are nice but a bit overwhelmed. Asked for water but did not get it until a minute before we got the check.

Chef's Choice
As an Executive Chef this is the place I go when I want a good mael and great service. I have been here numerous times and it gets better every time I go. Keep up the good work!! Nothing but love for this place. Hands down best burger in Chicago!

Delicious
I've been wanting to go to DMK for awhile (since their opening back in... 2009?) and finally got the chance to go there. The service was great, really chatty staff, but they know when to leave you alone. I got the #2 with the crispy portobello and a Chocolate PEanut Butter Shake, and my friend got the #1 and some of the Salt/Pepper Fries to share. Despite other negative reviews, i would say that the portions were more then adequate, the large fries were more than enough to share, and both of the burgers were giant. The shake was enough to share. Sinatra in the background, dim lightning and friendly staff made the meal even more enjoyable. The other patrons were also a friendly crowd, we had sat at the bar and the guy next to us commented that they must put something in the food... he goes there multiple times a week. Overall great experience. I wish it was slightly more affordable, but hey, you cant always get what you want fo' free.

Not worth it!
I'm sorry. I really wanted to like this place, especially since it's in my neighborhood, but I can't. The food was not good. The hamburger bun was unappetizing, there's hardly any meat. The one good thing they have is the fries. Other than that, poor service the multiple times I have been there. The final straw for me was that it's a hamburger restaurant and they don't cook to order. They're all medium done. Booo.....

Great food with a good message!
Really good food and they make an effort to give back through donating a percentage of their profit which really makes the overall experience there that much better!
