    Really, not what I expected.

Well, it all started one night i was starved (and was quite in the mood for chinese) I remembered my mother talking about this place called Dee's. I though i might try it. I order a dish ( i dont quite remember what it was called)and some sushi, anyways, I love sushi, so i was truly EXCITED! I went to pick it up, tryed and truly disliked it! Not what I had expected at all. Didn't even taste like what it had described it to be. Also the people there were very rude. Also added an extra charge at the end, without telling us.

Always dependable - very good food

We have been ordering from here for almost three years and the food is always fresh and arrives hot. Delivery is within 25 minutes most times. I have never been unsatisfied - they do an awesome job. We have eaten in on occasion and the atmosphere is very nice. In the summer they have an outdoor patio as well. I would definitely recommend this restaurant as the food is consistently good!.

Best Chinese Food In Lincoln Park

We've been patronizing Dees for many years and have never had a bad meal. I've also eaten in China and Hong Kong and this American version of chinese food is excellent. A little pricy, but well worth it if you are a chinese food fan.

    Truly a disappointment

I don't really know how to do justice in a review to a restaurant that serves such poor food at (for Chinese) premium prices. The Chicago Reader review states that Dee's serves Chinese food for American tastes. I think that is being very generous, because frankly, the food was not good. Granted most Americans wouldn't know decent Chinese food if their lives depended on it. Having lived for 10 years in Hong Kong and Singapore, I know my various Chinese cuisines. And this place is not even on par with your basic carryout Chinese dives (though there are a few decent ones out there) If you like a little food with your sugar, then this might be the place for you. Many entrees here are sweeter than your typical sweet and sour pork, making them virtually inedible. Evidently the cook (I will not use the term "chef" for this person) doesn't know how to properly velvet the meat, as what should be tender, tasty and attractive comes across lumpy and discolored. Sushi--what can I say? The portions are scanter than other sushi restaurants in the area (see Sai Cafe for decent sushi), but the real problem is the rice. Falls apart instantly. They are not using calrose or some premier Japanese rice. It appears to be typical fried rice kind of rice (Jasmine). The wrong rice makes for ultimately disappointing sushi. One item on their menu I can recommend: the kwoh te (potstickers). Pretty authentic, and not made with that gross heavy dough that the worst potstickers are made of. But, unless you are a potsticker addict, I recommend you stay far away from this place.

    Solid chinese

Great meat and veggie dishes. Excellent service. Consistently good whether for dine-in or takeout.
