Great Mexican Food
Went there on a jazz night. Music was great, but a bit loud. The poblano soup was memorable to say the least. Wish I could have taken a gallon of it home. The al pastor tacos were very tasty. I sampled all plates at my table (6) and all were very good. I strongly recommend this restaurant. BYOB.

OMG, the soup!
This was my second time at DeColores. My daughter and I went there for brunch last May and really enjoyed it. The highlight of our meal was the crawfish and scallop soup. I had been dreaming of it. Tonight was my birthday and I chose to return, just for the soup. My son, daughter-in-law and daughter treated me to dinner. It was great! The soup was as delicious as I remembered. My daughter-in-law had the poblano soup, which was also outstanding. Chef Sergio came out of the kitchen and made some suggestions. I had the pork tenderloin marinated in pineapple salsa, wonderful. My son had the Carne Asada Chimichurri, with a side of the poblano cream sauce, Daughter -in -law had the Tampiquena, and my daughter had the vegetarian burrito. All were excellent. We chose to share the coconut tres leches and the cheesecake flan for dessert. Both were outstanding. The art work on the walls was interesting, if not a bit disturbing, but I understand it changes regularly. I highly recommend this spot. We brought our own wine, as it is BYO, but were told that they are hoping to get their liquor license soon. They do offer their own margarita mixes, which sound delicious, as well as Bloody Mary mix and michelada mix. I highly recommend that you check out this neighborhood gem.
