weird space, decent food
When I think Irish Pub I think of a small, dark room with dark green vinyl booths and brass-trimmed light fixtures. This place is a huge, double-height space with walls of windows in a brand-new building, so it doesn't really have that "homey pub" feel AT ALL. Still it's a welcome addition to the chain-saturated neighborhood, and prices for lunch are reasonable and the menu is good, if predictable.

Great Happy Hour
The Happy Hour food was yummy. The items were discounted so we could eat the good stuff without filling up on the entree porn (french fries, mashed potato, etc). The best "small plate" during happy hour was the grilled shrimp skewer which was huge (you get 6) and tender with a zesty lime and sweet chili sauce. The wings were so so because the skin was not crispy but soggy, not the best I've had. The beer flight was interesting (3 minis for $7) but that was the only happy hour drink special mentioned by the waitress who was very helpful with the beer selection. Great location and with patio seating.
