Decided to try this place out the truth is not the best nor good. I don't understand why this place is always busy and food has no taste. Hashbrowns were soggy, waiters are never to be found. Food was under cooked and service is slow.

I've eaten regularly at the Cozy Corner now for more than 4 years...it's the most reliable eatery in the whole city. The food is very affordable, the staff is super-attentive, and the atmosphere is laid-back, relaxed, but not a smoke-filled bar room. The breakfast is worth the drive...or the train ride, or the bus trip. I heartily recommend it.

This is a great diner--a place i have been going to for many years. The ham is the real thing & roasted properly, the fruits used for pancakes and waffles are usually stewed spanish style and delicious and easy on the stomach. The waitstaff are always busy but always friendly. The specials are the best value like the "hungry man" special--okay so it is a sexist title for a special, but it is an ethnic blue-collar place. The eggs are also cooked properly and the hash browns are excellent. This is the gem of Humboldt park and easy to get to via California or Milwaukee. Very crowded between 9.45-10.30 on sundays so best come very early or wait til later unless you want to stand for 20+ minutes. They get my vote for BEST diner in Chicago and I have been to over half that are listed in this website's directory.

truly a gem...only open for breakfests and late lunches...total 50's feel...watch the cooks with tons of hashbrowns and large custom saugages always grilling, get 2 pork chops with sides and salad all for $7...a treasure...they do not have em like this anymore
