I recently relocated back to Chicago (home) from Alexandria, VA. I have been in search of a place to get breakfast. I was speaking to a co-worker and witnessed the delightful spread she was enjoying. She gave the name of this place and say no more!! I have found my new breakfast spot!! The food is more than I expected and the pancakes are to die for....!! Thanks to my co-worker for hooking me up!!

The person below saying they need to get a new job is an idiot. This place is fantastic. It's the best hidden gem in Chicago. I recommend the Corned Beef Hash. This is my favorite breakfast place in Chicago, and I live downtown. Very friendly people too!

Great, family owned and operated. Tish has done an amazing job with her menu and her staff. Brunch is my favorite meal out and Cornerstone is my go-to neighborhood restaurant. One of my litmus tests is fresh brewed unsweetened black iced tea year round. They deliver. Another is hollandaise sauce with enough lemon juice. Check that. I am a very picky eater and always have special requests--no onions, eggs scrambled not poached when ordering a benedict, etc, etc. I've never been disappointed. Although not listed on the menu you can substitute a fresh fruit kabob for hash browns without an upcharge. Need I say more. Just keep Cornerstone our secret please, so that I won't have to wait for a table!

I LOVE , LOVE, LOVE this place! Their food is always delicious wth generous portions. But right now I am hooked on their benedict with roasted red peppers and feta! Sounds a bit strange, but I ordered it when my server raved about how awesome it was. She was absolutley right! Which is another thing I love about this place- the servers who really take care of their customers and have a genuine desire to please and offer real suggestions. No phony "advertising." Definately a place to bring your mother or a date!

Inconsistent food, no variety, menu never changes, maybe they should get new jobs. no value.

the place is cozy, staff is nice, and customers are friendly. The meal is not good. My french toast was too eggy, hash browns were cold, and I was totally underwhelmed. I can't believe people come it and rave about the food.

The service combined with good food makes this place where someone can go all the time and not be dissatisfied
