Trial and Error
We read good reviews and Cornelia's was recommended by a friend, that is where the positiveness ended, the food in general was a bit pricey for what you got. found the place a bit pretentious, and our waiter was subpar. We ran out of water at least 3 times, he had no sense of urgency with very few tables. The Hostess was on the cordless phone while dealing with people, more interested in her conversations then welcoming her customers, thought that was rude. We will never go back. It was a trial and error but we can say we have eaten there

My favorite Chicago restuarant
Cornelia's is simply amazing - great atmosphere, attentive staff, friendly customers, superb food, and delicious infused vodka martinis! Cornelia's is the one restuarant I stop at when I am home to visit Chicago. The menu is filled with great dishes, with flavor combinations you will not find anywhere else. I always ask the bartender to recommend a martini with one of their infused vodkas - haven't been disappointed yet - I particularly like the cucumber vodka gimlet.

Great neighborhood restaurant/bar
Stumbled upon this restaurant one evening with a friend and was pleasantly surprised. Cornelia's located at 750 Cornelia in an auspicious building painted in purple and pink. Service couldn't have been any better or more attentive. The service is fabulous, as are their martinis. Great neighborhood restaurant / bar with a wonderful ambience. Live piano bar -- perfect place to unwind in the evenings with friends. Two thumbs up - we will be back.
