Not Focused on the Customer
Agree with several other reviews that the food is tasty and interesting however our dining experience was annoying. It was the totality of the following: Two of our party of four arrived first but even though the interior was almost empty they would not seat us. They have a nice drink menu. Our waitress gave us one drink menu for all four of us and was not happy when we asked for another. Also with dessert same thing, one menu for the four of us, asked for another, got an attitude. What’s the problem? We wound up ordering several drinks and desserts so it’s not like we were trying to waste their time. The specials were written on black chalkboard in a dimly lit interior. Had to ask to have them read to us. Shouldn't you make it as easy as possible for your customer to buy things from you? It gets extremely loud in the restaurant, ie need to shout to be heard by the person sitting one foot away. There are so many restaurants out there that have their act together for food, service and atmosphere that you don’t have to settle. None of us will be going back.

A Hot Spot
I went to Coobah's on a thursday night. i GOTTA learn to salsa. I dont know if it was something special but that night was assume. besides the search for a parking spot, it was smooth sailing upon hitting the door. everyone was friendly. the server was extra charming. I cant remember what my date had but the Tilapia I ordered was ON POINT!! it was so exciting its all a blur. it was the best mojito I've ever had. we took Patron chilled Patro'n shots and at some point they slid the front of the place back, busted out a DJ and it was something out of a movie. I got to learn to SALSA!! I loved it. I will continue going back. I need spanish lessons too. It made you really wanna join in!!

best chicken I've had in years
Cons: a bit crowded (my date kept getting bumped into), a bit loud (you had to almost yell to be heard across a small table), the caesar salad and side of baby potatoes was mundane Pros: the chicken negra modelo was FANTASTIC, the asparagus and crab lumpia appetizer rocked, the sangria was great and Jen was one of the coolest, sweetest, nicest waitresses I've ever had (attentive, but not hovering, incredibly personable). I wanted to be BFF with her!

Totally overprized for what you get
We only went there because at Tango Sur was a waiting time of 1 1/2 hours. We also had to wait more than 30 minutes here, although we were told 20. The house salad was a joke, just lettuce, the scallops with artichokes very little. In general all portions are very small and pricy! Service was nothing special at all, not very charming. Overall we spent USD 80 and had a very dissapointing dinner. I would not go there again.

Everything U Taste U Will Love....
I recently visited Coobah for the third time and brought along a girlfriend who was visiting for the first time. I gave her a heads up about how awsome the food and drinks were but I don't think she quite believed me until.... She took her first sip of Sangria! From the food to the atmosphere, this place screams a great time. So trust me I will be going back if not just for the chocolate cake alone!

Cool Place
This is a restaurant for those who are afraid to seat to close to strangers. The lcoale is small but packed with a great bar and atmosphere. The food was very good. Try the steak with blood orange sauce. Even the pork sandwich is delicious. We recommend the fries as a side dish. They were delicious. Coobah is also in a great neighborhood with great bars and cafe's to visit after dinner. We suggest making reservations ahead because it gets packed and it is very small. The one thing they could improve is the service. Our waitrress was very friendly but we waited to be seated for a long time even though we had reservations. The food is also a bit pricy but you will have a good time. Overall, a very nice restaurant with good food and great company.

City's Best Mojitos and Fab food
Great atmosphere, great food , great mojitos. A little pricey, but worth it. Tables cleared for dance floor and dance bands and dance lessons a couple nights a week after dinner hours are over. Great fun.
