    Cannot resist

I have lived down the street from this little shop/restaurant/mini-grocery store for several years, and there isn't a week when I don't stop in. The people who work there are great, the food is stupendous, the variety is considerable for such a small store, and I couldn't imagine getting a mozzarella sandwich without their delicious oil. My roommate and I visit often and she is constantly reminded of Italy. I would recommend this place to everyone, and I do in fact!

    Love This Place

Ok this is the best place on Taylor Street. Has fresh sandwiches, deli meats and chesse, olives, pasta, potatoe goodness, and so may other great this. If it is Italian then they have it. And there is frozen section with all this homemade food frozen ready to be taken home. There is wine, and a lot of it. There is some great 4 dollar wine that is amazing. There is also some really classy wine as well. They really know what they are talking about so ask lots of questions. They know me and will sugest something that I may like. They even sell basil plants in the summer and they will take the leaves off and sell you a bag of basil. There is fresh coffee, soda, and chips so you can go in and have lunch if you like. There is great chocolates too. The cops are always in there so it is super safe.

    Just like Italy

My daughter lived on Taylor when she started at UIC in 2000. She turned me on to this litle gem. We moved here from Sicily in 1995 and I swear that I was walking into a little store in Italy. This is not exactly a restaurant although there are tables to sit at. Great Atmosphere and great take out. Definitely worth a stop.
