    Positive Delivery Experience

I almost didn't call because of the review of Delivery not reccommended. But I had to order for my customer so I gave it a shot anyways. They DID take my credit card order of 75.05 by phone and the lady I spoke with was very nice and helpful.

    Delivery not recommended

First of all, if you call to place an order for delivery, they will only let you order a max of $25 worth of food. That's right, there is a maximum for using a credit card. Their largest cheeese pizza is over the maximum so you can't order it unless you are paying cash. The person on the phone was nice, and she was only doing what her boss told her to do. So the only way to get an order that exceeds $25 is if you pick up. But get this; they won't start baking your pizza, or cooking your order until you pay, so pretty much it defeats the cause of calling your order ahead of time. So, basically I called for delivery, couldn't do it, then told the young lady to switch the order to pick up only to wait 25 minutes once I got there to get my food. Total waste of time.

    thick , cheesy, and good

I had this pizza when my students wanted a pizza party. I was never a fan of pizza party pizza because it's always cheap and it always tastes like it. But Congress was sooo delicious. Cut in squares like Chicago pizza spposta be. It's thick, but not doughy like other places. And the crust has a good taste; not bland. Right amount of cheese and sauce --not DRY, (probably also super greasy, but I can't seem to remember that part) and delicious sausage. MMM-MMM. They also llok to have a pretty decent Italian food menu, with chicaken vesuvio and prime rib. But as long as there's pizza, I'll probably never get around to eating a real meal.

One of the Tops in Chicago

Congress is one of the better places in Chicago to have Pizza!!! As one person said, the sauce is the best. But we like the Yellow Dough-Thick Crust pizza. We live in the neighborhood so we always order from them. But, the only real negative is the phone help at times. There have been a few instances where they did not process our phone order correctly and we did not receive the thick crust, and they tried to turn it around and say we didn't order it. But the quality of the pizza still keeps us ordering from them. We just have to repeat two to three times we want the YELLOW DOUGH!!!

    Love this place

I love the sausage pizza! The sause is always tasty and they never ever skimp on the cheese. I hate when places do that! This is a landmark I have family and friends who've moved away from the neighborhood who still fantisize about this place. The sandwiches are good too... lasagna tastes like homemade.
