Indian fast food!
Accolades to the owners of this Indian fast food chipotle-style joint! A friend and I got a smattering of the offerings including 1. Bombay beef- delicously tender beef chunks in a spicy, slightly watery, gravy 2. Pork vindaloo- you can appreciate the bite/tang of the vinegar seasoning, per tradition 3. Chana- very spicy garbanzos which were neither stellar nor subpar 4. Chicken tikka- delicous! More white meat would be appreciated though. 5.Baked Samosas- Awesome! So much better than fried samosas Naan- 1 for this, it was the mass produced "naan" which really was the mass produced factory-made naan, but I can't imagine "fresh" naan would be easy to make on such a budget, so it's excusable. Furthermore, they did use basmati rice and not skimp with plain long grain rice. Atmosphere was very casual and well designed. Service was excellent, the counter employees were so friendly and engaging, and took great care in putting your meal together. The one thing I did not like was the way the owner spoke to the employee "hey, go help the customer!" in a somewhat insolent, demanding tone. The only other gripe is that they actually didn't give me any chutney until I asked...the irony. I hope this place will prosper and am glad to finally have a reasonable priced, good quality, Indian restaurant close by.
