We are here for breakfast and you hope to have your breakfast soon but the waiter takes forever to get to the table. There ar hardly 6 tables that are occupied but the four waiters just seem to walk around for no reason. Some customers waiting for coffee, some for bill. Extremely slooooooooooow and poor service Hope Kerry Simon takes care of how to run the restaurant. It is not just food, there is service that is equally important

I grew up in Evergreen Park, and although I'm 58 now, I still long for Chuck's Pizza. Imagine my delight and surprise when I longingly googled it - just for kicks - wondering could it possibly still be in business? The one sure-fire way to know they were the same Chuck's as in my childhood was to cross reference the address & name with their truly proprietary ultra thin, hugely square pizza. Yes, they are the same Chuck's! Folks, this is the BEST pizza I have ever eaten - and I love deep dish, too! Living in Texas for the last 30 years has done nothing but increase my longing for a genuine Chuck's pizza. I just want to let everyone know: this is the real deal! Order and carryout, right out that screen door they still seem to have! Thank you Chuck's, for staying in business all these years. Thank you for giving me such wonderful memories! You will always be a part of my coming of aghe and I hope I will be able to make a trip back and bring the family. You guys are still 0 and always will be - the best!

My name is Rob Updyke. Like others, I live in the far SW suburbs of Chicago. About a 45 mile hike ! My familly and I few up in the Evergreen Park area and my Dad would always ask us where do we want this weeks pizza from. Well !, it was either Chuck's, Roseangelo's (Rosie's), Fox's, Palermo's,Phil's,VIto and Nick's, and of course, DAN's (out of bus.). As other reviewers have pointed out, and my family has eaten pizza all over the US, the southside has the best pizza, that is, to be fair, the best family run recipeed thin crust we have ever eaten. No other location in the US has what seems, is able to duplicate our thin crust taste. I made a special trip to Evergreen Park last week, 6/12/12. This was to visit a friend and to stop and get a Roseangelo's pizza. I thought that Chuck's closed back in the late 70's. My dad stopped going there for some reason, nothing bad mind you.Their are just too many pie places to go to. Too many good places to choose. But for me,Chuck's and Dan's (87/Washtenaw) along with Vito and Nick's were the top 3. I often travel to EP/area just for the pizza, because living in the far suburbs, YES, way out here, you might as well be in another country as far as the authenticity and thin crust taste that doesn't exist on the south side. No, in the last few years or so, Fox's, Vito and Nick's have come to Oswego and Plainfield, Il. But they also brought this areas high prices, and for this area, are way over priced . Imagine a Vito/Nick 16 in w/sausage in Oswego (2 minutes from my house) it will set you back $22.00. Give me a break. I remember after my father would work security at a football game at Reavis High School, (dad was a US History/Gov. teacher) he would bring home a Chuck's pizza. All these years that I have thought about Chuck's and that they were longer around, I would always think that, how come nobody took over the business and continue operating it. Top notch recipe. And now it just dawns on me today, to go on the internet and google it. WOW ! they are still around. I/m 51 , and it has been since the 70' s since I devoured one of these pies. I will be telling my wife (she is from the Peoria area) about this as she has taken a few trips with me just for the PIZZA.I will also order a few 1/2 baked for my freezer.I'm as so very happy about this as you are reading this, and you can tell how much this means to me.On my wife, she agrees that the South Side has the best pizza. I agree with everyone else. If you haven't tried it, you'll keep coming back after you do. It is simply the best (thin crust) carry-out pizza on the South side.

The southside has the best pizza in america and chucks is the best of the best. Chuck has been working there for as long as i can remember, the man knows how to make a pizza pie. Get there a few minutes early for your next order and play a round of mrs pacman.

I have been eating this pizza for 25 years! I now live 2 hours away and drive in multiple times a year an pick up as many as my freezer can handle. No it's not a family dining or a sports bar, but it IS the best pizza I have come accross. If bambinos in new york is a 5 chucks is a 10. Hands down! Fox's is a good pizza, Rossi's is a good pizza, but I still remain loyal! If you have not tried it, DO.

I moved to Raleigh, NC in November of 2006 and I miss this place so much. Raleigh has no idea what Pizza is. The pizza is fresh and good! I miss it so much. I probably would not eat there because it is not big, but for game night and any event I would call in and order pick-up. As a kid I went there in the 80's and it was a happening little place. The old Pacman machines and juke box is still there. So it has a since of nostalgia about it. No surroundings may not be fancy, but the service is excellent! I will be coming to visit Chicago in 2008 and I will make this one of my many spots I will hit for food.
