Fantastic Sushi
I can't speak for the whole menu, but when I found this little spot I stopped going to other places for my sushi 'fix'. I'll drive extra and not mind one bit. The style of the place is not flashy, from the outside or the inside, and that's something I appreciate. I don't want to feel like a tourist going for something crazy, I just want good food. For those that think the cleanliness of the bathroom speaks volumes about a place, the men's room here is one I'd love to have in my own home. Clean, with a nice style. The miso soup is excellent, and every piece of maki and sushi/sashimi I had was very good. The only reason I don't rate higher is because I'm not a huge 'critic' and don't want to make people think this is the 'best ever' even if I'm quite taken with the place. Service can be somewhat hit or miss, though. At times, they're always ready to refill a cup of tea or glass of water, check on how things are going, and are very helpful. Other times, the wait for a refill or the actual dinner seems to be lengthy, even when they're not busy. (For the record, I've never seen more than 2 tables and the bar in use.) I've not yet tried there sukiyaki and full sequential course meals, etc., , but if the sushi is any indicator, I can't see how they'd not be enjoyed thoroughly.
