My favorite taqueria
With a name like Chicken Run, I expected the chicken to be the main attraction. While the chicken is excellent (as are the chicken soup, and chicken tacos), everything else I've tried is great as well! The guacamole is consistantly excellent, and a great value. The Al Pastor and steak are also excellent. The only downside I can think of, is that they take a while to make food when you order carry out - but they make things fresh - the guac is always made to order, so I have no problem waiting. The only other close taqueria I really like is Las Asadas on Western/Charleston, but their selection is limited (no avocados or al pastor - but the rest is excellent).

great all the way around
I've been eating at this place and everything i've ever tried there is great. I recommend the Mojorra frita which is a big fried fish that tastes amazing!

Amazing Mexican Food in Logan Sq
We just moved here from TX and have been disapointed with the Mexican food up here. We tried Chicen Run at the advice of our landlord and LOVED IT! The food is so fresh (you can see into the kitchen and it's really, really clean) and there is no greasiness to it at all. We got carne asada tacos, gorditas (HUGE!) and also the same in chicken. They were fabulous. We've also had their pollo al carbon (grilled chicken) and it's also amazing. The food was tasty, healthy and a REALLY good value! The tacos were packed with lean meat and less than 1.50$ each! We are definitely fans of this place and will go back whenever we need some tasty Mexican food!
