Rich man's bar food
While you may pay a lot for standard bar fare at Charlie's, you certainly get what you pay for! The last time I ate there I tried a Tuna Nicoise Sand. with an olive tapenade and high quality tuna cooked to perfection. The menu is also eclectic enough that no matter what one is in the mood for they will find it.

Order the Pork Sandwich!
I went here recently. The place has a typical, ale-house atmosphere, but there was a lot of sunlight coming in on the front row of tables. On one side of the front tables was a bench seat running the length of the room (with chairs on the other side of the tables). I'm not a fan of the bench seating, but I would still ask for a table there. They have outdoor seating, too. The service was good, the server's recommendation was appreciated, and everyone was friendly. The menu has burgers, sandwiches, salads, etc. But there were fun twists on these basics. I had the restaurant's version of a BLT: a BLT with cheese, bacon, andouille sausage, and some other kind of pork as well. It was VERY GOOD and very filling-- I would plan on a to go box and a long nap afterward! The fries that came with it were also really good. I don't recommend the flatbread pizza, but I will definitely have this sandwich again...after my arteries unclog.
