Great Spot for Sports and Dinner
I went to Centro about a wk ago.. I thought they did a great job remodeling the place. I havent been in town in awhile and it was nice to come home and relax somewhere with a good amount of tvs and great food selection. I can agree that it was not very busy but during the week I like to go somewhere and relax after a long day. I would def recommend it. I even took a list of their weekly specials with me to show my friends. If you go try the Route66 as well as the Base hit burger.

what is this place?
i have no clue what this place is supposed to be. i dont think the management even knows it. the staff is obviously not trained to be professional, the bartender has no clue how to mix drinks and they have no beer on tap. WTF??? weird ass place filled with a bunch of jersey shore wanna-bes. way too loud in there to have dinner. food was OK but waaaay overpriced for the quality. centro get your act together otherwise you wont last long and we'll be seeing a for lease sign in place of your cheesey centro sign...

Tries but falls short
Decided to take my parents here on a Sunday for and early dinner. Had driven this new bar several times, and thought it was time to check it out. It was a nice day and we were hoping to sit outside. The place was pretty empty so we were promptly seated. We placed our order for drinks and just as she was about to put them in, our waitress came and informed us that they do not allow liquor outside despite the 2 other table outside were drinking beer. Ok fine we were seated inside. The inside is nice with lots of tvs, exposed brick and has a loft type feel to it. However it is super dark even during the day and they blast Top 40 radio, which makes for a tough conversation. It took awhile for our drinks to come, and when they did the head our beers had completely settled and left a good inch and a half of space at the top of our glass. I don't care about the lack of beer, it just looks bad. We ordered 2 chicken sandwiches, a burger and a veggie sandwich. 1 chicken sandwich, the burger, and veggie sandwich arrived in about 20 minutes. The final chicken sandwich arrived a few minutes afterwards. Strange. The food tasted fine, but the lack of care in the preparation was clearly evident. All the waffle fries on each plate were cold, and the fries that came with the last chicken sandwich were mostly crumbs. It started to get a little busy around 7 and I think our waitress was the only one on staff, as it took awhile to get our check. The final tab was about $50 which isn't terrible for 4 sandwiches and 4 beers. It's pretty evident that this place spent more time on their decorating and trying to knock off other bars than to train their staff and pay close attention to the details that keep people coming back. I may be back here since I live in the neighborhood, but I definitely will not be recommending it.

Not recommended
I was in Chicago visiting my friends, and we decided to stop in Centro. The waitress not only was flighty, but extremely rude. I gave her the benefit of the doubt when she forgot our order and dropped a beer bottle on one of the people that were with our group. She then got very aggressive when we asked to see the manager after a coupon they were advertising wasn't allowed to be used. The management staff came out and honored the price only to find out the waitress wrote a curse on the back of the receipt. whew...really ruined my time in chicago.
