Don't miss!
The guy who said his food was terrible must be a picky eater - the cheese is the best part! I eat here at least once a week and I don't even normally like sandwiches. The chalupas are best with salsa verde (the rojo is pretty spicy), and the milanesa and pollo cemitas are best in my opinion. The owner gets a little snippy and it's not the nicest looking place but this is truly one of my favorites in Chicago.

Not Worth It
So I decided to come check out this place after seeing it on the Food network channel...According to Guy this was a great place to try out authentic food from puebla... Well I was not pleased with my food...I have to admit the cheese they used was way over powering of my cemita sandwich and the al pastor was not the best I have had...I came out extremely disappointed with the place...It is waaay over price! Not worth the money at all... However the service was wonderful...the owner was extremely welcoming but thats as far as it goes.

Hiiighly Recommend
Probably the best Mexican I have ever had. The cemitas are heavenly, and everything is tremendous value. I am trying to hit all the "Diners, Drive-Ins, and Dives" restaurants around me and this one is probably tied for the best! The service is just as great as the food; the owner is very helpful. Mouth watering!

great authentic mexican for cheap!!
cemitas was recommended to my husband by a "foodie" coworker. i must say, it did not disappoint. we were greeted by the very friendly owner, who gave us pointers on what to try. we took his advice and had the chalupas appetizer, an arabian taco and a pork cemita- yum yum yum. we even got two cokes (from mexico made with real sugar instead of high fructose corn syrup) to round out our delicious and inexpensive meal. give it a try, i guarantee you too will not be disappointed!!
