Loved the excellent quality, freshness and flavors. Nice crowd at the bar.

Simple Splash
My wife and I were really looking forward to our night at the CCR. And for some parts of the dinner the restaurant met our expectations. We knew that it was going to be more expensive, but worth it. I am afraid it met the first part but not the second. The service and the Calamari were excellent. But they were not busy so, service should have been very good. The calamari appetizer was by far the best part of the meal. My wife had the fried perch and I had the scallops. The fish was ok, not fantastic....which when paying 150$ for dinner, I was wanting. I also, did not know it was in the Drake Hotel, another one of my "never do's"....I have this thing about never eating in a hotel establishment for dinner....just does not seem to fit.

Love This Place
OK, I have been eating here since I was a kid in the 50's. I love this place, the staff has been here forevenr. No, it is NOT a usual trendy place that will be great for a couple months then close by next year. If you want some real classic Chicago food come here and imbibe in the history.
