    Don't bother.. Really

I would not come back to Cafe Society. I was surprised to see another revierer priase the fresh made food. My breakfast clearly was not freshly made- the crepes were cold, and the strawberriews were still frozen ( neither acceptable). The outdoor seating was dirty, and the service was just not good.... There are many better breakfast / lunch places that I would go to ahead of this one.

    a gem.....a great bistro cafe......10

I recomend this wonderfull Cafe for a number of reasons. Some of them are: Life Jazz and Blues at their Patio, the colombian coffee is excelent,....best Lattes and Chocolachinos..... the food is not premade, always fresh!...they make the best omelettes in Chicago, smothies with fresh fruits, delicious French Crepes......my Wife [select]ed a Chicken Guacamole Wrap ....that was a delight., she said......what else? well the Chef an excelent person always ready to help.......I would say that Cafe Society is one of the greatest places thatmake Chicago the best city in USA.....This Cafe is a 10.......

    Dont waste your time.

This place is definitely not worth the trip (and we live less than 100 yards away). Cant really think of anything good to say. Lousy food, VERY slow serivce and it always looks a bit dirty - perhaps its the lighting (at least that's what we told ourselves when we used to stop by occasionally.

    Nice little spot

Really like the menu and food. The wraps are really good as is just about anything on the breakfast menu. Nice atmosphere and one of the only outdoor seating areas farther south in the South Loop. I would recommend it as a nice neighborhood cafe. Not a destination for someone outside of the immediate area.

    Outdoor Lunch!

I just love this place for a outdoor lunch. You can sit outside on a fairly quite street. The food is great, fresh and the portions are large enough to share.

skip this place. not worth your time / $

We visited on a a few nights ago and found the menu to be uninteresting, and the food to be way below our expectations for a neighborhood cafe. Poor service was the final straw. There are too many other fine restaurants opening in the south loop. Take my advice and pass this one by
