We have never had anything but a wonderful time here... delicious food, joyful (though idiosyncratic) service, a sense of open arms! Always try some of the specials... fish cheeks, anything with mussels, calamari, octopus (the best I've ever had)... the list goes on, but don't neglect the regular items...goat cheese, figs, shrimp, pork, so much more! We are all foodies (as are most friends we bring with us) and we do not complement lightly. We love this place! Bring your own wine and your own good cheer and Cafe Marbella will not disappoint! For us, it has always delighted!

My friends took me to try the best (in their opinion) tapas in Chicago. I am a very picky person and I wasn't so sure about going to a new place. After trying a first few tapas I already knew I'm in culinary heaven! Everything was incredibly fresh and delicious and Maria that took care of us was very nice, knowledgeable and friendly. From now on this is my favorite restaurant!

I've dined at Cafe Marbella twice in the past two months with family and friends and on both occassions they exceeded my expectations. The tapas are simply perfect / the best I've had this side of Spain! Cafe Marbella is an excellent value and the people there clearly take their mission seriously. Bring a bottle of wine and they'll transform it into Sangria for you - they're BYOB. Cafe Marbella is a gem hidden in an unlikely place. Bon appetite!

Because of my job I travel a lot and during my trips I always try to find Spanish restaurant and try their tapas. I have been disappointed many times, however not during my visit at Cafe Marbella! Every single dish was phenomenal! I really can't tell which one I enjoyed the most because they all were incredibly tasty! If you love Spanish cousine (or seafood) it's definitely a place you must go to! I will be back for sure!

I'm very happy to find a great quality tapas restaurant. On the northwest side. Food was very good only wish they had sangria.

Conveniently/Romantically located next to a Sherwin Williams paint store, this restaurant is not a natural for me, as it is nowhere near home (Lake View). BUT, it is a natural if you are visiting North Park Village Nature Center, a gem within the city, and would like a nice snack or meal before continuing on, wherever that may lead. Everything I tried was good to great, and reasonably priced. One thing you have to have is the mussels in cream saucefantastic! The squid rings and spuds is very good, too, tho pricey at 8.95, Empanada gallega @ 5.95, tho small, is a very tasty and right on stuffed puff pastry with good flavor. Only 4 small pieces, tho, so order accordingly. Over all, I really liked this place. Food was very good to excellent , and service was top notch. Considering we were the only peeps in the joint at 4:30 on a Sunday afternoon, I figured we'd be appreciated, and we werethe chef came out to see how we fared and we had a nice conversation. Bring good wine, as this isn't a place to scrimp unless you have to, but we've all been there, so do what you can. I've already recommended this joint to several of my friends, both in town and out, so I guess I'll just have to go back even if it is not close in. At least one can park nearby, a rarity in the city, and a big plus. And don't forget to bring the wine.

Nice new addition to the neighborhood. The food was very good. The mussels in cream sauce was addictive and the figs wrapped in bacon were very rich and unusual. The BYOB made it even more attractive. The service was very good and very helpfull. We had seven tapas and the bill was under $50.00. We wish this new place a long and successful life. Try it you'll like it if you like to try new things.
