    Wow, awesome NYC style pizza

I doubted I could find NYC style pizza in the Midwest...but Cafe Luigi has it nailed. Their thin crust pizza is straight out of NYC. So delicious.

    I like Luigi's

Very good pizza and I got service with a smile. I have not been to New York so I don't know how they compare with their pizza but I think this place is better than Santullo's in Wicker Park. This pizza is not soggy but still very thin. And it's pretty cheesy. I ordered an 18" inch cheese pizza for pickup. They told me 15 minutes over the phone. I got there in about 20 minutes and pizza was waiting for me. Was my first time there and I thought it was a very cozy, small, and very clean looking place. They have about 7 tables to sit at if you want to eat in. And I thought the cute Russian girl working the counter was very friendly.

2 hour delivery times and cold pizza

The pizza is good, if you pick it up at the restaurant. But, if you order delivery, expect about a 2 hour wait time on Tuesday nights. 2 plus hour wait on Friday and Saturday. When your pizza does finally arrive it may be cold, soggy, and not taste good. You’ll also have the joy of a rude delivery person. Overall opinion, this place is overrated and not worth the wait.

    Best NY Pizza in Chicago

I love thin crust pizza, and this place has the best by far in Chicago (better than a lot of places in NY, actually) I also have enjoyed their meatball sandwich and Calzones, but I keep going back for the pizza

    Good pizza, only passable service

I've only ordered delivery... never dined at the restaurant. Of the 5 times I've ordered from Cafe Luigi, I've enjoyed the pizza immensely every time... the crust is perfect, the ingredients better than average, and just barely enough greasiness to make you feel like you're indulging a bit, but not enough to make you feel guilty about it or turn off the health-conscious. It's just about the perfect "NY-style" pie. But I've had downright rude people answer the phone twice (and I generally couldn't care less... it was pretty oddly egregious), and waited over an hour and 45 minutes twice. The other three times, the service was pleasant but unremarkable, and the pizza arrived in under an hour (once in about 30 minutes). Is it worth it overall? I'd say so, but be prepared for the fact that it might show up anywhere between 30 and 120 minutes after you order, and do your best to give the person on the other end of the line the benefit of the doubt if they're gruff. You'll be pretty glad you did.

    Yummy

I love walking over here for lunch on work days. They have excellent pizza. Sort of a Sbarro type place, but the slices are always big and they are actually filling. I love this place.
