Not recommended
Went on a Friday night. Place was crowded and very noisy. Waited not too long for a table. Ordered the guacamole and it tasted like a store bought package--it was a bit runny and devoid of taste. The tortilla chips were a bit soggy. I ordered their specialty of the house--red snapper fillet on a bed of rice. I had to force myself to eat it as I had spent nearly $20 for the entree. It was tasteless. One of my friends ordered a dish of pulled pork--she gave me some to try and it was truly awful--it even tasted bad. The other friend ordered a vegetarian dish which was no better than the other dished. Remind me to never eat at Cafe Laguardia again.

The best Cuban food in Chicago
I have been here 5 times already in the last 4 months....yes, it's that good. Everyone I have recommended this place to has LOVED it. From the Mojitos to their famous oxtail stew, you cannot go wrong.

Great Cuban Food
Being cuban myself and growing up in a cuban home I feel that I can honestly say that this place tries to maintain the integrity of the cuban cuisine. There prices are very reasonable. The roast pork is delicious, and the ropa vieja is almost as good as mom made it. If you want to eat good cuban food in a relaxed atmosphere this is the place.

Great Place but a Little Cramped
It was good Cuban food, but it definately could use a little more space!! I'd recommend the chicken fricasse and mojitos.

Wonderful experience
My wife and I stopped in while my son was at a concert nearby, The owners welcomed us and allowed us to eat at a leisurely pace depite the line out the door waiting for a table. The sangria is great as is the food. The cuban appetizer sampler was a doog intro to cuban food. The entrees were very reasonably priced and quite good. The atmosphere is relaxing and fun. I would recommend the retaurant without condition. Great food, great drinks, great price and great people. What more do you need?

Outstanding
I usually get the taste of cuba which is a meat sampler. It is outstanding. The fried pork medallions are out of this world. Also love the ground beef and shredded beef. The sweet plantains are delicious. Also, must try the sangria. My wife loves the shrimp fajitas. Great atmosphere and friendly owners.
