    Great Date Restaurant

Nice and charming restaurant. The music isn't too loud and the food is super flavorful. Even if your date isn't the best, the food here will make your night.

Good food , but worst service ever

Food it was great and fenomenal amazing favor , quality and quantity . When we arrived there the waiter that claims to be family related treated us with a very disgusting attitud , almost a turn around , but the smell was great and we were hungry . After that we were served by the same gentleman who made us wait and gave us a really bad service too since he couldn'd even speak the language . Well I don't want to let this turning me from going there but will look for a differente server . Don't miss the opportunity of trying the best Cuban retaurant in chicago .

    Exceeded my expectations

I'd never had Cuban food before and to be honest, wasn't really expecting much. I'm an all-American meat and potatoes type. I was absolutely floored! From the service, to the atmosphere and the food...I would go back to Cafe Bolero in a heart beat. The flavors, the smells...this restaurant is wonderful.

    Best Cuban Food in Chicago

Amazing food, especially the palomilla with black beans, rice and plantains. The appetizers were also amazing and we really liked the stuffed plantains. The only fault with Cafe Bolero is that they overestimate their popularity. It is difficult to make a reservation even two days before hand because they claim they are booked; but when you get there, it is empty for most of the evening. Other than that, everything else is good. The cmplimentary bread and butter is delicious as are the drinks. We also liked that there is an open kitchen. Also, if you are in the area check out Margies, the best ice cream shop in town.

Best Cuban food I had in a long time

This is easily the best cuban restaurant since El Presidente took over. The service was impeccable, and food delicious. Mojitos are a must.

    A Delightful Cuban Experience

Cafe Bolero has fast become one of our favorite places for a nice evening out.. The chicken kabobs are a favorite, but every aspect of the meal is rather satisfying. From the empanadillas appetizers to the sweet plantains that come with most meals, we have never been less than satisfied. It is especially nice to dine outside in the summer time.
