The food is good and the people are great and friendly and the people all have great manners and the cook is the best. I enjoy the coffee and the breakfast. When i walk in it is like a home and the people already know your name and they are quick on the order

I value when a cook goes out of his way to make home made soups and real mash potatoes, the short ribs and broiled pataoes are among the best that I have had anywhere, the breakfast ham and bacon are delicious, I never tried the sausage. I make this a regular stop for lunch, the home made bean soup is the absolute best ever. I have had the taco soup, vegetable soup, chicken rice, lental, cream of patatoe, they are all real tastie.

Used to be an excellent family restaurant, The prices are way to high, the meal portion is too small and the overall taste of the food is in very poor quality, this place has gone downhill.

I stopped in here based on a recommendation from a friend. I had a breakfast skillet that was well prepared. A testament to any establishment that sells breakfast is how well they prepare the eggs. C & G was spot on. The place could use a better seating arramgement. I felt like I needed a guide to lead to me to the correct area, but the staff was engaging and friendly. All in all, not a bad place to go and grab a bite to eat. Especially, if your cash is a little thin and you want a decent meal with good portions to fit your budget>

This is the best "American Diner" in the southeast side of chicago. Most of the menu is typical of these classic restaurants. It is a nice, friendly and clean place. Most of the food is homemade and the portions are very large. The prices are low to average. When I want a complete meal with salad or soup, bread, and a desert (that I never have room left in my tummy to eat), This is where I go.
