Everyday Sushi
I love Butterfly. I have them on speed-dial. I usually order out from here once a week. My favorite dishes include the Panang Curry, Fried Rice (but not Shrimp), Tom Kar soup, Calamari (which has a nice spicy sauce), and omg, the Crag Rangoon... My favorite rolls are California, Spicy Tuna, and Crunchy Spicy Shrimp, and the Godzilla roll (which is huge and worth the price). Their rolls are generally a lot for your money, the best I have had so far. If you order out, you get free crab rangoon. If you eat in (usually on a weeknight only), you usually get free dessert. It's BYOB with no corkage fee and no questions (I once saw a couple bring in a grocery bag of beer cans). There are a few bad things. First, many of their dishes (especially noodle dishes) are made with frozen mixed vegetables instead of fresh. Also, the restaurant is so small that you are literally snuggling with a stranger on a busy night. RESERVATIONS ARE A MUST!! At least for dinner. Butterfly also used to give out delicious Thai cookies (in lieu of fortune cookies), but I believe that has stopped in the past few months. Also their Rama Noodle was overly peanut-y, it made me and my guests gag. Sometimes the service is very slow, and sometimes it's way too fast. But overall, this is a great restaurant!

Great Food @ Great Prices
Butterfly is excellent for a quick, inexpensive, great tasting lunch. The food portions are big enought to share and taste awesome. The service is good. You have to have a little patience since the waitresses do not speak good English. The only bad thing about Butterfly is that the table are too close together. You have to squeeze in order to get to your seat. It is far worse when there is a crowd. But, if you are lucky and go during lunch, you can feel comfortable and enjoy your meal. I am a BIG fan of their Cashew Chicken, Salmon Teriaki, Crab Rangoon, Pad Thai with Chicken, and Crunchy Shrimp Maki Roll. You have to go and try the food.

Great Rolls
Liked this place. I think it's awesome that they make their traditional maki rolls with not too much rice, most places pack on the rice-this place didn't. I also thought their 'spicy' rolls were way too hot. If you like spicy great, if you aren't that big into spicy rolls, don't order them! Tables are a little bit too close together. Great prices though.

Crunchy Spicy Tuna Roll!
For the price Butterfly is by far the best sushi spot in West loop! The best crunchy spicy tuna rolls, speedy delivery, BYOB, clean and cute sit down, with reservations needed for Thurs, Fri, and Sat. evenings. Obviously I'm not the only one who loves it! Thai food is great too, but the sushi and ambiance is really the draw. Definitely a must go, I haven't been dissapointed yet!

Pleasently Surprised
Considering I had never heard of Butterfly before going a few weeks ago, I was blow away. It is a quaint, dimly light restaurant where the value for your money is unbelievable!! The highlights are BYOB, Monster maki, crab rangoon & their version of the fortune cookie! Highly recommend this place!
