    mediocre bread

Only complaint is the bread. otherwise a very tasty sandwich. Fries could use some salt.

I drove from Indiana because I saw this restaurant on "Best thing I ever ate". I was disappointed with the combination's sausage was hard and fried to a point it had no juice. The beef was tender and messy. The fries were no better then the one's I get in Indiana. The sweet peppers were cut up very small and keep falling off the Italin beef & the combination. The restaurant was clean. The people behind the counter were nice but hard to understand.

    They have it right!

Boston's Beef has this recipe down. They kept the original wholesomeness. No other can compare. The beef is perfectly prepared; it is always tender, the flavor full bodied, the ingredients natural and real. It's perfection. We usually go there for a late lunch or early dinner between 2:15 to 5:00 pm. We have to drive and there is only a tiny lot behind the business it holds 4 cars. The walls have great Chicago pictures. The atmosphere on our last visit was showed lots of wear and tear.

Been a regular here for some time..depending on who's behind the counter and how they feel, your likely to get a beef with gristle and less beef..served with a smug look..

    Missing Boston's

Ok -- When I saw the two other Richmond Street folks I had to write a review. I was at 844 N. Richmond which was like a foot and a half from Boston's. I am now in the San Francisco area and still go to Boston's whenever I am in Chicago. I have introduced my Californian family to the place and they love it too. Oh am I missing Boston's!

    Best Italian Beef's hands down.

Nothing fancy here and that's a good thing. The food speaks for itself and the prices are the cheapest in the city. Beef's are spiced just right and the rest of their grub is the regular beef joint stuff done right. Make your way over here and find out for yourself, you won't be dissappointed. Open late too.
