I visit this nice place recently .I was very happy since i open the door , they welcome us , asked us for a place we want to seat at. They were very pleasant , timely, and our food was delicious and on time . Employers were kind and professional.

It's some of the best puerto rican food in Chicago.I've only been to 5 puerto rican restaurants in Chicago, and this is the best in flavors, textures, quantity, and cost in my experience.

The food here is almost always fantastic! Yes, a little greasy, but it's fast food and completely expected and acceptable. The service here is inconsistent, but generally pretty good. I have encountered bad attitude a couple times, but it's really not unusual these days in fast food. However, usually everyone is really, really friendly there---especially if you engage them in a little friendly small take. But for goodness sake, if they are super busy, order your food and move over! Food service is a demanding and stressful job! Cut them some slack and enjoy your meal!

Service has always been as great as the food here, i'm guessing you get treated as you treat those who serve you. Have been there several times food is fresh and delicious. Watched the sunday football games and enjoyed lunch, I suggest you do the same. On the way there now 60+ miles round trip and worth the trip every time!

Great food but attitdes need some readjusting. Have found other places in the city that I have been going to that have better service and food that is just about the same quality. I prefer okay food and great service instead of good food and poor service.

I'm a big fan of the jibarito and arroz con gandules. The great thing about Boriquen is they offer Jibaritos with your choice of pork, steak, chicken, veggie, or chicken breast. The arroz con gandules is delicious. The bacalitos (Fried Cod fish), tostones, and pasteltio (PR banana tamal) are also delicious (just a little greasy......but hey it tastes good. I also recommend the Chuletas con Habichuleas (Fried Pork Chops with a side of white rice & red beans) its is so tasty and you may not finish it because it is a good serving. The only problem is that the people who work here have some bad, ghetto attitudes.....they seem annoyed that you have came in. Plus if you order out, check your bag to make sure you have all your items because they seem to always forget something.
