We rode bikes from the South Loop to Hyde Park to tour around a little. We were hungry and heard about this great place to eat. We got there around 12 pm and it was booming with people! The pastries and food looked wonderful. They had many specials.

It's pick and choose here. The fancier pastries are very pretty, but on the expensive side. Their everyday items, such as croissants, pan au raisin, breakfast bun are delightful and not expensive at all. Their sandwiches, I am hooked on their croques,

It is a cafe and bakery... yet they don't know how to make an iced espresso drink, AND they charged $7 for it. Their pastries are ok.

This is a wonderful place to enjoy fresh pastries or a cup of excellent, fresh ground and fresh brewed coffee with friends. It does run a little on the pricey side, but patrons get what they pay for - and then some.

The sandwiches are just ok, but some of their pastries are amazing. Especially the fruit tarts. As for the atmosphere, it's great when the weather's nice since you can sit right outside in the plaza courtyard; but it sucks in the winter. Definitely shoul
