Excellent orange-ricotta pancakes!
Loved it! Three of us had breakfast on a Thursday mid-morning. The orange-ricotta pancakes were the best! Very tasty and unique menu options.

The best breakfast in Chicago
The bongo room is the bomb! from the pancakes to the omelets to the sandwiches. Good for breakfast. Food and service is 5 stars! speaking of.. im heading there now!

Best Breakfast I've EVER had!
I had the pretzel pancakes and they were AMAZING. I think they were the best things my mouth has ever tasted. My sister got the eggs benedict which was also delicious. I got the veggie croissant which was the only thing that wasn't awesome They were out of mushrooms so maybe it would have been better with those. Even still, I would go back to this place in a heart beat. SO GOOD!!!

Eating Dessert for Breakfast
I ordered the french toast and it was amazing. I would request this restaurant for anyone on vacation in Chicago.

Best pancakes EVER
My fav. breakfast place to eat. I come to Chicago just for their pancakes. And I live in Michigan! Its worth it

Breakfast at the Bongo
The reviews and the online menu seemed good so we visited on a Sunday morning. Plenty of street parking at 9:15 and the entrance was somewhat plain appearing with the green wind screen in place. The restaurant was already getting crowded but we were seated fast. The service was excellent from the host, to Penny the waitress to the bus service who always kept our coffee cups full. The veggie breakfast sandwich was packed with fresh produce, side potatoes were just enough so we didn't feel stuffed. Plan on coming early because as we were leaving there was already a line. Great place to try- we'll surely return.
