Good Traditional American Chinese
Typical American Chinese menu but the food quality is great. It is by far the best Chinese take out place in the area. The portions are huge and the ingredients are fresh. The delivery service is fast. They use flavorful sauces with little oil. If you are a fan of Chinese take out you will be please with this gem.

so-so
We ordered take-out. Everything was fair to midland. The moo shu was OK, the egg foo young was good, the fried rice was dry though plentiful, the sweet and sour chicken was like chicken mcnuggets with a bright sweet sauce on the side. I don't think I'd order food here again.

Bland for chinese food
Tried their chicken & chinese mixed veggies neal and thought it was pretty bland . Their eggrolls were greasy and with an odd taste...maybe it was just a bad hair day? Atmosphere is kinda dead. Service was decent, though communication was a problem, so keep it simple. Staff tries to push their "famous" chicken wings, but I don't think so....sorry.

Good food on Fullerton
It's tough to find good chinese in Chicago. Being from New York there's a natural bias against Chicago chinese food. I had tried dozens of restaurants in the area, never any better than below average. When I moved to a new apartment on Fullerton, I had all but given up. My girlfriend (who is a big fan of chinese food) asked me if I knew any good restaurants. Because I am a jerk and wanted to show her how inferior Chicago Chinese food was, I took her to a restaurant I had never been to, assuming she would see the error of her ways. That restaurant was Blue Willow. I ordered the egg drop soup, because it's the simplest to make , and if it is done poorly, there is little hope for the rest of the food. Fortunately, that soup blew me out of the water. When my beef and broccoli arrived, the beef was tender and the broccoli was crisp. The restaurant was a bit stripped down in terms of aesthetics, but we were too distracted by the delicious food to really notice. Service was fast and friendly, and when a week later I ordered take out, that was even faster. Overall, I'd give it five stars, because the food and service is all that matters, and that was exceptional.
