    Where's the Meat?

Smiling Andrea was an excellent waitress! I've been to New Orleans twice. I didn't get the New Orleans special spices flavoring the food. It tasted like over-kill of tabasco sauce. My husband was satisfied with his Fettuccini Monica. We also had flavorless red beans & rice. My Jambalaya had minute slivers of chicken & tiny hard to find pieces of sausage. It was mostly all rice without the genuine N. O. flavor. The fried green tomatoes were the bomb! They were the BEST I've ever had. The abita amber beer was perfect. The young musicians in the jazz band sounded very professional. Food needs more New Orleans original spices and more generous pieces of meat in the entrees. We enjoyed the evening regardless of my constructive criticism. Again, Andrea was great! Keep smiling!

    Fake Eggs at Brunch

I have to say I was so excited to try tis place when I saw crawfish and alligator sausage on the menu. I'm a huge brunch guru and was excited to try something new in my omelet. I ordered an omelet with alligator sausage and asked for crawfish in it too. When the omelet came, much to my dismay it was made with fake carton eggs! They clearly have the real thing because they have Benedict's on the menu but I was so disappointed. Not to mention the crawfish never made their way into the omelet. They're going to have to fix the artificial egg situation before I come back! Disappointing.

    Delicious

This restaurant was just what my wife and I were looking forward when we decided to take a walk around our new neighborhood of Lakeview. The decor is so neat, all pictures of legends and quikry authentic items from New Orleans. The staff all seemed energetic, happy and efficient. I got the BBq shrimp and andouille wrap and it was probably the best bbq sauce I have ever had. My wife got the gumbo (excellent) and the pecan crusted tilapia.... we were so impressed. I recommend this spot 100%... it will be your new favorite. There is even a plaque on the bar that says, "let the good times roll!"
