This restaurant came highly reccomended to me....Unfortunately, it did not live up to expectations. The margaritas were decent, but that was the only redeeming aspect of the meal. I am not usually motived to write reviews, but my experience tonight was so unforuntate that I felt a duty to my fellow man to get to the keyboard as soon as possible. I ordered tacos and the quality was inferior to my usual Run for the Border at Taco Bell. The ground beef was was bland, and the hard shells were soggy. Fortunately, I was able to pay extra for a side of sour cream to drown out the blandness of the meat The service was about as decent as you would expect at any bar/restaurant. But the food was so far below expectations, I will never go back to Blue Agave. Boo to you, Blue Agave!

The best steak tacos I have ever had!

The Blue Agave is off the main track of Rush street. What makes the restaurant unique is the friendly service staff who always do their best to make the customer feel at home. This is a place to visit because you can avoid the riff-raff normally associated with the other Rush street bars.

The Margaritas are amazing, the servers are very accomodating. It is a great place to go and hang out with friends. I agree I wouldn't plan a date there. As far as the food I have only had the Fajita Quesadillas and let me tell you they are amazing! I have been there over a dozen times and never get anything else. It is a must try!

This place has GREAT margaritas. But as for food, go for the basic choices like tacos, enchiladas. . . they're great but some things are not. A fun place to go and hang out, not romantic, more of a sports bar feeling.

Bland, boring Mexican food. It was like the chains. Actually I think the chains are better.
