BJ's Market

I patronized this restaurant twice, the first time I ordered carry outs and the woman behind the counter gave me an extra order of peach cobbler because of the wait on the catfish; It should have been called dough cobbler, because that was all I received. I must admit that other than that the food was decent that time. The second time I dined in. The catfish was nice and hot but the mac & cheese, black-eyed peas and sweet potatoes were cold. On top of that the sweet potatoes was scorched. The workers were great, but I will not be going back.

I'm sorry about the experience of the people on the previous post, but my experience has always been great. The food is always fresh when I go there. The dessert, particularly the German Chocolate cake and the peach cobbler, is great. The Sunday buffet is a great deal for the price. The service has always been very good to great when I have gone there. I highly recommend BJ's. It's very good southern food at a fair price.

we found the food VERY disappointing and also it was served lukewarm, even the famous mustard-fried catfish. The food on the steam table looked gross, all dried on top, and what was brought to us after we ordered was no improvement. We found the desserts inedible. They don't serve iced tea, just soda drinks from machines. I had heard good things about BJ's, none of which turned out to be true. 3) The parking lot was full but at 12:45 midday the restaurant was empty; we wondered if those in the know had gotten smart and were all next door at Popeye's Chicken, which could not have been worse than BJ's. We love Southern food but would have to advise, skip this loser of a restaurant.
