The meatloaf is to die for
Perfectly pleasant bistro with pretty decent but at times quirky service. Just adds to the atmosphere imo. My party of 10 agreed that the meatloaf was outstanding, with buttery mashed potatoes and green beans, robust, flavorful meat loaf and a tangy tomato-bacon topping. The whiskey sours were excellent too.

perfect late evening
Food was outstanding. Service was good. Great evening. Great mix of crowd ages. May come back on our 4 day stay in Chicago.

Not for groups!
Poor service. The waitress did not know the menu, forgot to bring toast an then tried to tell us that it didn't come with the breakfast item. It did, and she eventually brought it to the table. If you are going with a group be prepared, they do not allow you to break up your check and only allow you to use two forms of payment. Also, the chicken was unpleasant.

Service let's it down
We went for a late lunch a couple of days ago and had the Macaroni Cheese, a Burger & House Salad. The food was very good but unfortunately the service spoiled it for us. Our initial waitress was lovely but then her shift ended and our table was 'looked after' by a very brusque blonde. She was snappy and rude the one time she could be bothered to pass by the table to check we were ok for drinks etc. In fact the only time she was actually nice was when the time came to settle our bill. Needless to say our tip reflected her bad attitude. Good spot for lunch if she isn't working!

open late!
I went to Bijan's because it is across the street my apartment and it is open late. I had some pasta which was very good, but a bit pricey, I do like the outdoor seating
