I didn't really like the chicharron de pescado, it was like eating from a frozen bag at home with mayo since it comes with a tartar sauce and my daugther order a bistec a la diabla and the seasoning on the meat wasn't good at all. the only good part was the Anticucho that was good.By the way I'm Peruvian and I how how Peruvian food tastes. Please look for some to cook very good

Authentic and delicious food. A little loud inside but in the summer you have the option of a darling patio.

Look past the exterior as the dining room and patio are a nice surprise. Just an FYI - it’s a small place and you will smell like fried food when you leave. Hands down - the BEST Ceviche in Chicago. Biggest serving for the price (you could order it as an entree) and it is very fresh. All other dishes kind of taste the same but over all are good. I would recommend reservations as it is small and very crowded. Even with a reservation - you will wait 10-20 min. Nice option - you will be surprised - worth a try!

I went to Ay Ay Picante for my birthday last night and we had an amazing dining experience. Free BYOB is awesome, service was PHENOMENAL, the server made excellent authentic Peruvian recommendations. The atmosphere was cozy and intimate, dimly lit w/ acoustic Peruvian music playing. Really, just an overall wonderful package - we could have sat there for hours drinking our wine. You wouldn't think from the outside, but inside is BEAUTIFUL. Thank You!
