This place is amazing! I graduated from DePaul University in 1980 and the Athenian Room was great. Now, 29 years later, the place is still great! I come here whenever I can. The food is delicious, the prices are affordable and the owners are wonderful! I love the gyros and burgers...awesome food. Check it out, you will not be disappointed.

The food here is amazing, on the menu they offer both Greek and American food.. And I have tried both and they are to die for!!!! From the greek menu I usually get the kalamata chicken with greek fries or the chicken kabobs... From the American menu the Skirt steak is great and a bargain for how much it costs, and the hamburgers with yellow cheese are delicious. Instead of yellow cheese, you can even get feta cheese on your hamburger... I tried it out and was pretty amazed on how good it taste even with feta.. I eat here all the time because I go to DePaul University and it is literally a block away from the campus!!!!

I love the place. I can't get enough of the food. Occasionally there will be the waitress that doesn't know the menu too well but besides that I love it! I take everyone that comes to town to this place... I recommend the Chicken Kabob Dinner. The fries are amazing! Also the Pork Shish-Kabob Dinner is great too... The salads are amazing as well just tell them to go easy on the dressing! I highly suggest going here!

Food here is amazing... I did not know what to get and literally chose a random thing of the menu and it was the Kalamata Chicken... That is so good, that sauce they use is so good.... Next time I went there I got the Feta Chargburger.... Talk about wow, it is also available plain or American cheese but wanted to try it out with Greek feta. And surprisingly it was really good, the feta cheese adds an extra flavor to it.....

The setting, menu, prices, quality, crowds, and staff are all unchanged over the past 25 years. Let that be an indication that this place does it right - good food, with quality service, at VERY reasonable prices. Try the skirt steak, king size gyros sandwich, chicken kabob (with cheese pita on side), and extra fries. In the winter, you MUST have the soup.

This place is the best. I have been going here for years. Everything is good but my favorite is the Chicken Kalamata. It is perfect greek chicken with cirspy french fries. Comes with a greek salad-- get it with feta cheese. Prices cant' be beat. Pop next door to Glascotts for a beer and you're set.
