I eat at Army & Lou's at least once a week. I am always very satisfied. The staff is just like family, the food is GREAT, and the prices are very reasonable. And you'll never now who you might see. I live in the South Suburbs; however, I attend school near Army & Lou's. I love too go there between classes and eat, read or study. This restaurant is top notch for soul food and southern hospitality.

Everytime I eat here I never complain. I usually call my order in and pick-up. On days when you want some good southern cooking but don't feel like slaving over your own stove this is a great southside resturant to go to. The service is great, although Sunday's are a busy day so be patient. The price is reasonable and worth it.

I had heard of this place called "Army & Lou's" for many years and thougt what the heck, give them a try. This small place located in the heart of the south side of Chicago offers friendly staff that are warm and make you feel welcome. The food was outstanding. I make it my business to travel around the U.S. and sample the local cuisine, and by far Army and Lou's is one of the best. Prices are great for the amount of food you get and there is a wide variety of menu choices. Army & Lou's, you owe it to yourself to go there.
