I just found out that Always Thai has new owners. Now I know why I like the food so much all of a sudden. Cute couple own the place he is Irish and she is Thai. The wife who is Thai does all the cooking. The husband sometimes acts as a waiter or hostess. They are friendly and the food is reasonable. The servings are large, and the service is excellent. The owners are a delight.

My son and I went to Always Thai for a late lunch. I had Sesame Duck, that was excellent. My son had the Ginger chicken he also said it was excellent. I would recommed this restaurant to everyone.

Been to Thailand a few times and the food at this place comes pretty close to what I consider authentic Thai food, I had the beef pad see ewe and it was great, my girlfriend had the Basil friend rice and she said it was pretty good. Nice waitress and pretty wall mural.

I have lived in Chicago for 40 years and this is one of the best Thai places that I have tried. They have been here for the past 10 years and going strong. You really cannot go wrong with anything on the menu.

The food from Always Thai was not the worst thai I have had, but not the best either. It was either too oily or bland or just ok. Some of the hot food was served on the warm-cool side. It may have been an off-night for the restaurant, so try them out for yourself and hopefully you will have a better experience. Best wishes.

I live in the neighborhood and get take out from here at least once a week. I always have to add some heat with some red pepper sauce, but the freshness and quality is always top notch. My favorites include pad thai with tofu and spinach dumplings. The dining room is small, but the service is friendly. BYOB.
