    table for one

I arrived on a monday night to have dinner just for myself. As soon as I entered I was greeted wonderfully by the host and prompty sat me in a comfortable area The service was wonderful. I had a smiling helpful waitress who accomidated my every request. I had the gyoza ( steamed), blue fin tuna, fresh salmon, octopus, The Turtle, and finally a spicy scallop(raw) that i had to wrap and take home. Every part of the experience there was wonderful. I am in the buissness and know how hard it is to be motivated for an rainy, empty monday night. But this place made the evening. I definitely reccommend you try the place out and get The Turtle! Thanks! Be back soon..

    Not bad, but too bad

I liked walking into this place. It was beautiful and quite sassy, but how do you sit at a sushi bar and order from a waitress when the chefs that prepare your food are right in front of you? Hence the term, sushi bar...? I think someone screwed up royally there. Pretty and fun inside, but service is bizarre. They're all over the place, or no place at all. Food was delicious, especially if you're not the true sushi lover. The menu is extensive with an incredible assortment of rolls, You'll find something you like even if you're not a fish fan. The cocktail lounge and bar is so enticing. I'd recommend settling and eating where the server can't go far. :-)

    Good Sushi But Poor Service

I was very excited to take my friend to Agami for his birthday and although the food was good, I was constantly disappointed by the poor service and uncleanliness of our table. Our tempura appetizer was brought out without the dipping sauce and by the time we saw our waiter and had it brought out, the tempura was cold. The table had a 4 inch section near the wall with a think layer of dust covering the table and when the appetizer plates were taken away the busser touched the part of my chop sticks that I would be eating off of so I had to ask for another pair, cleanliness was lacking. The timing of the food delivery was way off. There were three of us dinning and two of us received our entrees 15 minutes before the third person's entree was done. Our sushi was brought out without dishes or the soy sauce to mix with the wasabi. And the reason that I would never return is that upon bringing all of this to the attention of the two managers, they were unapologetic and didn't seem too concerned. If you are looking for a good dinning experience where service is important, I would look elsewhere.

    Best Sushi almost anywhere

Wow, Let me say this place is fantastic. I have been all over the world, and Agami is serving outstadning sushi. The Jalapeno Spicy Tuna , and the Califronia Cruch roll are to die for. Service was top notch and all the dishes came out plated like a professional high end place. I live in NJ and plan to make a special trip back to Agami very soon. The toru was also very fresh and flavorful. It's a bit out of the way, but it's worth the trip. Take a taxi from the city instead of the very nosiy train. This place is worth it!

    Great Sushi

This place has a very nice decor, very chic, and the sushi is great. If you ever come here the two dishes you should try are the Green turtle, and the Agami Maki. Those are sooo delicious, one of the best sushi i've ever had. It is quite pricey, but definitely worth it.
