A pleasant surprise
Went to three restaurants on Michigan Ave after work, but they were all full. Decided to try 676 at the Omni. Heard nice things about it from a friend who read an article. When I arrived, this place was packed as well. The hostess was very friendly and took us to the bar to have a drink while they turned a table. It took 10 minutes, the hostess said it would be 15. Small wine list, but it had everything you could want and moderately priced. When we sat down the service was flawless and the food was very fresh and flavorful. All the portion sizes were nice and the menu had a variety of complex items and comfort stand by's. Overall, the experience was very positive and to be honest, a surprise. Since then, I have been back to the bar for drinks and appetizers several times with friends and co-workers. A beautiful view, that not too many people know about yet.
